Ensuring The Best Embroidery Job

Garmeo allows you to choose from its inventory of premade designs and edit them to add personalization like lettering and numbers. However, many times, you’ll want to upload your logo for your business or personal brand. If that’s the case, you’ll want to stick to a few guidelines to make sure your design is suitable for embroidery, and it will produce the best outcome.

DO

Choose designs that will look best on the type of clothing you plan to get embroidered. For example, if you plan to embroider a t-shirt, don’t choose highly detailed and large designs that will weigh your shirt down.

DON'T

Avoid choosing extremely detailed designs on fabrics with texture. These designs will not appear well on clothing like fleece, terry cloth and more.

Tips For Uploading Your Design

Use of Gradients

Embroidery is created with stitches. Therefore, it’s best to stick to solid colors when customizing your design rather than gradients. While shading is possible with embroidery, most of the time, you’ll get a better looking finished product if you stick to solid colors.

Image Size

If you’re uploading a .PNG or a .JPG, ensure your image is at least 500px. If you’re uploading a .SVG or an .EPS, any size will work fine.

Use High Quality Images

Upload clear high-resolution images in the accepted file formats: .PNG, .SVG, .EPS, .JPG.

Design Complexity

Avoid designs with intricate details and very fine lettering. Any lines under 1 millimeter will not show up well. Lettering under 4 millimeters will not show up well.

Some Examples of Designs That Translate Well to Embroidery
